We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate in the Conditioning department at our Richburg, SC facility. As a manufacturing associate, you will play a valuable role in helping ensure our materials and products meet customer expectations. The conditioning department is responsible for resurfacing the material before sending it to the mill or customer. The conditioning dept is also responsible for performing internal and external testing of material.

As a manufacturing associate, you will be responsible for processing material by operating in the following functions: peeler operator, band saw operator, cut-off saw operator, shot blast/grinder, polisher operator and final inspection. A successful candidate should demonstrate an eagerness to learn, showing initiative, commitment to teamwork, and attention to detail.

This position is night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Initial training will take place during the day from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up and running equipment
  • Identify material coming into the department
  • Maintain logs and records
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, and charts
  • Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience

    Skills:

    • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to read a tape measure
    • Ability to read and understand instructions
    • Use of various tools ranging from common hand and power tools, saws, drills, and wrenches.
    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, work in hot conditions and be comfortable working at heights up to 10ft
