Job Summary
Assesses, transports and administers basic and advanced life support treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance with department, system and South Carolina DHEC policies, procedures and standards.Provides high quality pre-hospital and inter-facility advanced life support including assessment triage, and treatment utilizing established Clinical Operating Guidelines approved by the GHS Mobile Care Medical Control, with scope of practice; assesses the nature and extent of the illness and injury to establish and prioritize care needed for safe transport of the critical care patient to an appropriate facility. Is qualified to provide care for patients across the life-span in assigned clinical area. Assures that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum. Supports MCAS daily operations. When assigned, the Critical Care Paramedic will provide operational oversight of an assigned shift in absence of the assigned supervisor.Work Shift
