What You'll Do
  • Equipment tracking and forecasting - the DMEM will maintain a list of all mobile equipment within the SE and have a good understanding of each piece of equipment.
  • This includes understanding the current state of the equipment and accurately forecasting the needs for repairs, servicing and/or replacements as it relates to "End of Life."
  • The DM EM will play an active role in the CER process to include recommendations, tracking, etc.
  • Develops and coordinates PM programs for all mobile equipment. The DM EM will help to implement these programs and ensure compliance through site visits, auditing, etc.
  • Is active in assisting sites with service, costs, etc.
  • Monitors cost of equipment repairs.
  • Works closely with Director of Recycling as well as Area Managers to provide feedback, arrange equipment moves, etc.
  • Train site-level maintenance employees.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and management to seek most efficient maintenance soltuions.
  • Document maintenance activites using SAP.
  • Consistently communicate changes, additions, completion dates and times, cost and time estimates related to maintenance activities to management.
  • Manage costs and obtain management approval for higher cost items.
What You'll Need
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Understands the value of a quality PM program.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel
  • Heavy equipment maintenance experience- with an emphasis with fluid hydraulics
  • Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to read and understand Hydraulic & Electrical Schematics, PM, and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems
  • Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues
  • Promotes collaboration and working as a member of a team
  • Hands on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair abiliites
  • Experience maintaining material handlers, forklifts, excavators and hydraulic equipment.
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree or 2-year technical/trade school; or relevant previous military experience preferred
