Overview

The Rebuild Specialist will collaborate with PSSR's and G2 Manager to inspect equipment and properly quote machine rebuilds.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with the PSSR's and G2 manager to properly quote machine rebuilds.
  • Ensure that all updates to the machine and components are to the latest CAT spec when quoting (Service Letters and TIB's)
  • Attend customer meetings with PSSR's to inspect machines that qualify for a rebuild.
  • Quote machine based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Update MMRC manager and PSSR on quote status.
  • Quote additional work found during machine rebuild and work closely with supervisors to create weekly customer presentations.
  • Work with Standard Jobs Coordinator to create standard jobs where needed.
  • Travel to branches as needed to follow up on machine progress.
  • Prepares parts requisitions, timecards, part returns, accurate and complete service reports and other necessary reports and paperwork as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of comprehensive background in heavy equipment component function, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • CAT applicable, SIS, ServiceLink Application required.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
  • Able to effectively communicate with team members and customers.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures required.
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Must have the ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast-paced industry and deadlines.
  • Must be a Team-player that is enthusiastic and hard working with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills is required.
  • Must possess the personal discipline to establish the proper image as a representative of Blanchard with the ability to meet and work with the customer in a professional manner.
Working Conditions
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside (non-climate controlled) throughout the day.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Must be able to lift varied weights.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
