Job Description

STV currently has an opening in our Rock Hill, Charleston, or Columbia, SC offices for a Traffic/Civil Engineer in our Transportation & Infrastructure division.

This role offers unlimited opportunities to play a critical role in delivering the projects, interact directly with senior staff and clients, while promoting the culture of a healthy work-life balance. This role also offers the opportunity to function as a resource in support of our other offices and have a direct impact on the improvement of infrastructure nationally. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who desires to work in a team-environment, displays confidence, and possesses a solid understanding of traffic engineering principles.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assistance in conducting traffic analyses using Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS, and TransModeler.
  • Write traffic analysis reports and summaries of traffic operations analyses
  • Support the Planning group by providing transportation studies, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, impact statements and assessments
  • Coordinate across multiple jurisdictions and offices on projects & interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines
  • Providing design support using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (depending upon the Client) relating to traffic signal design, signal communications cable routing plans, and/or pavement markings and signing tasks

Required Skills & Required Experience:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering / PE license
  • 8 years' experiencein transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field
  • Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS and comparable software.
  • TransModeler microsimulation simulation software (or VISSIM with the ability to learn TransModeler) required
  • Experience in Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Compensation Range:

$117,293.00 - $157,279.00
