Job Summary

The Rad Tech (Mobile) is part of the Imaging Float Pool. All team members within the Imaging Float Pool agree to float to any Upstate facility. Under the direction of the Manager, Diagnostic Radiology and the Shift Supervisor, the Radiologic Technologist is expected to perform a variety of radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation. All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.

Accountabilities

  • Performs all diagnostic routine procedures (minor trauma, fluoroscopy, minor surgery and routine studies).\u00A0 Acquires requisition and checks for appropriate clinical.\u00A0 Obtains appropriate supplies and prepares room for patient.\u00A0 Access patient\u2019s condition and level of cooperation and makes appropriate judgment of proper care.\u00A0 Notifies nurse and charts all infiltrates and reactions.\u00A0 Quality check films before sending to radiologist to include markers, all pertinent information needed for appropriate dictation.\u00A0 Writes additional information on request as needed.\u00A0 Keeps room cleaned and stocked at all times.\u00A0 Responds to codes and other emergency situations appropriately.\u00A0\u00A0 \u00A060%
  • Explains procedure to patient and introduces self and identifies department\u00A0Informs patients and families of all delays. (including calling inpatient's room when procedure is delayed more than 1 hour) Trains co-workers and students.\u00A0Assist other technologists when not busy in assigned area.\u00A0\u00A0 \u00A010%
  • Acquires requisition and checks for appropriate clinical.\u00A0Charges procedure and supplies when exam is completed.\u00A0 Indicates no-film badge wearing name and fluoro time.\u00A0 Adds surgical charges when needed.\u00A0Operates the PAC\u2019s system appropriately and verify studies before sending to archive.\u00A0Reports equipment problems to supervisor, in-charge tech and documents confirmation numbers.\u00A0 \u00A010%
  • Charges procedure and supplies when exam is completed.\u00A0 Indicates no-film badge wearing name and fluoro time.\u00A0 Adds surgical charges when needed. Operates the PAC\u2019s system appropriately and verify studies before sending to archive..\u00A010%
  • Teach Innovatively\u00A0Shall be responsible for clinical instruction and clinical competency evaluation of students, providing students with appropriate feedback. Provide students with the appropriate level of supervision.\u00A0 Assist students in obtaining clinical goals. Maintain student confidentiality.\u00A0 \u00A010%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Completion of accredited radiology program

  • One year of experience

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • ARRT

  • SCRQSA license

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Basic computer skills

Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

Data entry

EMR
