Job Title: CMMS Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

The CMMS Assistant Manager - Managing the day-to-day operation of EMCOR's Maximo application and other future software applications. Tasks include ongoing maintenance and administration of multiple unique organizations with varying contractual requirements, preventive maintenance, and inventory programs. Assist with supervision of CMMS team activities and projects and provide technical assistance / troubleshoot to field staff for both desktop and mobile application issues. Perform physical asset inventories of various mechanical, electrical, fire and other building systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the CMMS Manager
  • Operational management of EMCOR's Maximo application
  • Act as Lead or Alternate Lead on Inventory Projects
  • Support a Review and Improvement Program Initiative for the overall Maximo application and each individual contract site and / or client CMMS application
  • Maximo Configurations (Automation Scripts, Escalations, Condition Expressions, KPI, and BIRT Reports)
  • Where Clause Scripts (Oracle, SQL or DB2)
  • Configure, manage, deploy, and support Maximo Anywhere
  • Assist with Project / Contract transitions (startups and shutdowns)
  • Perform physical asset inventory projects at our contract sites
  • Travel estimated up to 75%


  • Minimum experience of seven (7) years with Maximo or similar CMMS application administration
  • Three (3) years management or supervisory experience
  • Excellent analytical skills; including data collection, organization, and detail oriented
  • Facilities and maintenance industry experience preferred
  • Must be clear vocal communicator
  • Must be able to meet changing priorities, deadlines, and travel on short notice
  • Ability to work unusual hours when necessary
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms
  • Self-directed and self-learning

Added Skills a Plus

  • Experience with Java, Eclipse, BIRT or Cognos
  • Experience with Government Contracting
